In India, urban peripheries are largely neglected in the planning and development of cities as a result they become places of severe social, environmental and health inequalities. Peripheral regions are often perceived as ‘transitional’ and ‘in between’ spaces of development lying in the interface of the urban and rural .Due to relatively cheap land prices, they offer are more affordable housing for the poor and middle income families, however people face several everyday challenges The short film captures the everyday life and lived experiences of people in peripheries of Chennai City showing the embedded marginalization and socio-spatial and environmental injustices.
